This tutorial demonstrates how to install PostgreSQL 9.6 onto a Fedora 25 Linux system. My normal use of PostgreSQL had been on Debian systems. Many user’s of PostgreSQL use other Linux distributions including Red Hat, Ubuntu, and SUSE so this was an effort to expand my PostgreSQL familiarity on a Fedora/Red Hat type system. PostgreSQL installs are not the same on the various Linux distributions so I recommend becoming familiar with the installation and basic commands on each type system before committing to supporting it.
